Red Star Krimson Pear
Red Crimson pears have a ruby-red skin with a thick stem. Flesh is yellow-cream in color, tender and very juicy. These pears have a mild, sweet flavor with a floral aroma. Slice Red Crimson pears, leaving skin on, and add as a colorful addition to salads, cheese boards and pear tarts. Good for eating out of hand or in baking.
To ripen, leave on counter until top of stem yields to gentle pressure. Move to refrigerator once ripe.
