How does pricing work?
Your Subscription Price: Your subscription price is the base price of your box before customizing. The subscription price includes a seasonal mix of 100% certified-organic produce based on your box type, size and delivery area. The price also covers the cost of growing, harvesting, packing and delivering your produce with the highest of food safety standards while providing sustainable jobs for our family of employees and other farms with which we partner.
Market Specials Price: The market specials pricing as shown is only applicable for spending above your base subscription amount.
Produce Total: Your total is listed in green at the top of the "In Your Box" panel and cannot go below your base subscription price. The price of your customized produce box is a combination of subscription prices (for $ calculating up to your base amount) and discount market specials prices (for any $ exceeding your base amount.)
Please keep in mind that because we offer the flexibility for you to change the original box contents that make up your base subscription price, should you choose to remove items, some of the new produce you add may contribute to your base price. Calculating the market special prices alone for each item in your box will not be a reliable indicator of your produce total as those discounted prices only apply for spending over your base subscription price.
The individual price of each produce item "In Your Box" is not displayed because they are not offered as stand-alone products. You can tinker with the items in your box until your produce total is an amount you feel comfortable placing as your order.
Tips for getting the best value
When we build your box contents, we plan a well-rounded mix of that week's best value in organic produce from farms you can trust. We pay attention to the number of items, growing locations and whether items might "go well together" for your box type and size.
But we also understand if you’d like to change what arrives in your box. Here's a couple tips for keeping a good value in your box when customizing:
Make small changes. Many of our members find that if they only add and remove 2 or 3 items from their original box, they still get the week’s best value plus get items they can use most.
Be aware of seasonal specialties. Seasonal items like organic, local asparagus, strawberries and heirloom tomatoes are often more reasonably priced during the middle of their harvest season when the crop is plentiful, versus when they first appear at market. You may be surprised that even boring basics like celery or cauliflower can be expensive during certain times of the year.

What can I do in the Farm Stand Market?
View and make changes to the items arriving in your Farm Fresh To You delivery! In the Farm Stand Market, customize your upcoming delivery by adding and removing individual produce items from your box. Once you've customized and confirmed changes to your produce box, you'll have the ability to view and add produce by the case and additional farm products such as dried fruit, farm fresh eggs or nuts conveniently to your delivery.
Is it free to customize my box?
Yes! There is no fee to customize your box. We are thrilled to offer this convenience to our family of CSA members. Your produce will be hand-selected and packed especially for you!
When can I customize my box in the Farm Stand Market?
Our Farm Stand Market is open to customize your delivery once box contents are posted Thursdays at noon (the week prior to your delivery) until 10:00 a.m., 2 days before your delivery.
Examples:
- If your scheduled delivery is on Tuesday, you can customize your box from Thursday, the week prior, until Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
- If your scheduled delivery is on Friday, you can customize your box from Thursday, the week prior, until Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
Note: all changes to your service, including customizing your box, must be made by 10:00 a.m., 2 days prior to your delivery as we use this time to prepare for the harvest and packing of your box.
If you have a delivery available for customizing, we'll send an email with a convenient link to log in, view your contents and customize. A link will also be available on your Farm Stand homepage.
I customized my box but want to make changes. Is it too late?
You can change your Farm Fresh To You delivery, including customized deliveries, up until 10:00 a.m., 2 days before that delivery. After this time, we are unable to make changes to your delivery as we have begun to prepare for the harvest and packing of your delivery. Please contact us with any questions or special circumstances.
What happens if I don't log-in and customize my box?
Customizing your box is not required to receive a delivery. We’ll always select a mix of the season's best fruits and vegetables based on your service type / size and deliver your box on the frequency you choose.
TIP: If you’d prefer not to customize your box (or like the contents to be a surprise) but still want to avoid receiving certain produce items, you can mark these items on your Exclusion List and we'll create your box without them.
Have items from my Exclusion List already been removed before I log in to customize?
Yes—in most cases, when you log into your Farm Stand, your box contents will not contain items from your Exclusion List. However, if you have a large number of items on your Exclusion List, there may be times when we are unable to make all substitutions. If this happens, you will be notified by email and alerted on your Farm Stand homepage to log in and select the items you’d prefer to receive from the seasonal fruits and vegetables we have available in our Market Specials. If you ever see this alert and have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If I don't log in to my account online, how will I know that I have a box coming?
We'll help remind you with an email! When your box is available for customizing in our Farm Stand Market, we'll send an email with an easy link to log in, view and customize your upcoming delivery. Email reminders are scheduled to go out the Thursday afternoon before your next week's delivery. If you do not receive these emails, please check your email preferences and the email address listed on your account.
What are "This Week's Market Specials?"
"This Week's Market Specials" is a list of seasonal, organic fruits and vegetables available at a special price (our farmer's very best price) as a thank you for adding something extra from our Farm Stand Market to your regular produce subscription. Market Specials are our way of passing along a little extra savings on any amount over your subscription price.
How does pricing work for the "Items In My Box" and "This Week's Market Specials?"
The items originally chosen for your box add up to total your subscription price. If you add extra produce items and go over your subscription price, we pass along a little extra savings by giving you our Market Specials price, a discounted price, on the extra.
Can I remove all the original items in my box and get only Market Specials?
Yes, you can add, remove and change the quantities of items both in your box and in our Market Specials, as long as you do not go below your subscription price. However, when adding and removing items from your box, it's important to remember that the Market Specials price you see kicks in when you have met or exceeded your subscription price.
As we offer the flexibility to add and remove items, to determine the price of your delivery you can always view the total amount of your customized box at the top of the "In Your Box" area. Adding the total dollar amount of Market Specials alone will not be a reliable indicator as that pricing only applies to items added over your base subscription value.
How do I remove an item from my box and can I add it back?
Once you have added item/s to your delivery, you have the option to remove items showing a red .
Why can't I remove certain items? Your delivery total cannot fall below your subscription price (the price of your produce box without customizations). For example, if you get a regular-sized box, the total of items "In Your Box" cannot fall below $31.50. As you add items to your delivery, you have the option to remove more items. Any items removed from your original box contents will be saved at the bottom of the Market Specials in case you want to add them back.
What does it mean when I see 'Limited Harvest' and why can't I change the quantity?
When a produce item is marked "Limited Harvest," you cannot increase the quantity as we anticipate only having a certain amount available.
If I remove a Limited Harvest item, can I add it back? Yes. Any item removed from your original box contents will be shown at the bottom of the Market Specials. Although you cannot increase the quantity of Limited Harvest items, you can always add back in the amount originally planned for your box.
In the Farm Stand Market, can I add a produce item to my box that is listed on my Excluded Items list?
Yes! You can hand-pick the box you want and add in items even though they are listed on your Excluded Items List.
Can I go over my subscription price?
Yes, and as a thank you for shopping in our Farm Stand Market, any items added to your delivery above your subscription price are offered at a special savings price called our Market Specials price. View the total amount of your customized box at the top of the "In Your Box" area. We hope you enjoy your custom box!
Can I lower the price of my delivery?
When customizing your box in our Farm Stand Market, you are not able to reduce your box size or remove items from your box to lower the price of your delivery. In other words your delivery cannot fall below your subscription price (the price of your box without customization).
All changes to your subscription (like box size) can be made on your Manage Services page. Remember: we need to receive all changes to your subscription service, by 10:00 a.m., 2 days prior to your next scheduled delivery. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call and we can assist with helping your adjust your box type, size or frequency to better suite your needs.
If I customize my box, how do I know the price of my upcoming delivery?
In the Farm Stand Market, you can view the total price of your upcoming delivery on the Order Summary page. You'll see the price of your Customized Produce Box and any One-Time Items or Mini Services added to the delivery. On the Order Summary page, you'll have the option to edit any items added in the Farm Stand Market. Outside of the Farm Stand Market, you'll be able to view the price of any upcoming or previous deliveries by clicking View Order on the Recent Orders tab on your Account Summary.
What is a Farmer's Case Price?
A Farmer's Case price is another way we can pass along special savings to our CSA members. On the Customize Your Box page, look for and click the link "Available by Case" to view price and quantities. Cases of produce can be added to your delivery after customizing your box, on the One-Time Items page. Not all items are available by the case.
Case boxes will be delivered to your home or office just like your regular Farm Fresh To You deliveries. The case boxes may arrive in special boxes depending on the produce item. Although we've been asked by some of our CSA members to offer items by the "truck bed full" we're still pretty excited about offering case pricing and quantities.
Can I get a case of produce instead of my scheduled Farm Fresh To You produce delivery?
Items like the Farmer's Case on our One-Time Items page, are only available in addition to your scheduled Farm Fresh To You delivery.
Farmer's Case items are offered at a very special price as thank you for adding something extra to your delivery. Unfortunately, it's not feasible for us to deliver these specially-priced cases to your doorstep without your regularly-scheduled delivery. Thank you for your understanding.
Can I split a Farmer's Case?
Farmer's Case items are available in the quantities shown in the drop down menu. At times, we might offer an assorted case of items (such as a medley of summer squash or a mixed pack of heirloom tomato varieties) but unfortunately we cannot accommodate special case-packing requests.
How are items like nuts and eggs in the Farm Stand Market different than Mini Services?
Any products added in the Farm Stand Market, are "One-Time Items" that will only be added to the delivery being customized. Mini Services are subscriptions that automatically arrive on the same frequency as your produce deliveries.
TIP: We list any Mini Services associated with your delivery on the One-Time Items page so you can take that into consideration when shopping in our Farm Stand Market. For example, you'll be able to view if you already have eggs scheduled for delivery. Please note: changes to your Mini Services cannot be made in the Farm Stand Market. As they are a subscription, you must visit your Manage Services page.
